Beyond Boxing is a Social-Emotional learning system that fuses classroom-based instruction with boxing training.

  • After school/work program
  • 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm


Each sessions full run time is 3 hours. 1 hour for our classroom-based instruction and 1.5 hours for our boxing training. A 15-30 minute break separates the sessions. 


Our classroom sessions and our boxing training are aligned through our unique social-emotional curriculum and boxing protocol. The curriculum guides classroom instruction while the protocol is designed along side the coaches to facilitate for the educators lessons.

  • 14-25 years old
  • Enrolled in a Justice Alternative, Probation related org or similar services



If you want to be considered for a cohort have a member the organization you are enrolled in contact Beyond Boxing. These referrals can come from your:

  • Case Manager
  • Youth Advocate
  • Social Worker
  • Intervention Manager
  • ... Similar position of support 


Attendance to BB sessions, classroom and boxing, is mandatory. Accruing an unacceptable number of absences will lead to dismissal from the program. 


There is no cost to the participant. Beyond Boxing provides you with all of the tools to fully participate in our program and in our host gym. 


Beyond Boxing provides the following to allow you to fully participate during the program and beyond. 

  • All necessary equipment (Boxing Gloves, Hand Wraps, Mouth Guards... etc...)
  • 3 month membership to host gym. This membership allows for boxing training on non-program related days, as well. Our gym is your gym!
  • 3 months of fully paid trainer fees. We provide you with USA Boxing accredited trainers who lead teams of amateur boxers. 
  • USA Boxing membership. Beyond Boxing provides you with a Competitive Level membership ensuring you are protected during boxing activities and have the opportunity to continue pursue your interest in boxing upon graduation. 


  • Beyond Boxing's coaches treats our clients as though they are amateur boxers. Our boxing sessions may include sparring which will be supervised by USA Boxing accredited trainers, and is only available to Beyond Boxers exhibiting our Core Values. 
  • Sparring is voluntary, Beyond Boxers are not obligated to engage in sparring as a program activity. 


When you graduate from the program you receive the following: 

  • The boxing equipment (boxing gloves, hand wraps, etc...) that Beyond Boxing provided
  • 3 month scholarship to our host gym to help you continue your boxing journey. 


No, but the program does involve strenuous physical activity


No, but you must be medically able to participate in strenuous activity. 


No, Beyond Boxing is about helping you be the best version of yourself. We are excited to support your choice for our program be it for fitness, to become a boxer, for a positive experience or for a positive change. 


FAQ for Justice Alt. Orgs

No, client's can only be referred by their supporting staff member or program director of a Justice Alternatives organization. 


  • Maintain an open dialogue with BB
  • Support your clients through the application process
  • Help them complete their application
  • Distribute our informational material
  • Attend info sessions along with your clients 
  • Facilitate completion of application materials with minor client's parents. 


  • Address absences and/or late arrivals on behalf of your client, recognizing that too many of these will lead to their dismissal. 
  • Address behavioral issues should they arise during the BB program
  • Review and discuss our weekly attendance emails with your enrolled clients. 


  • Attendance Emails - Our weekly attendance emails will provide you with your clients attendance details, along with an anecdotal report on that week's successes. These emails are often used in court based settings to demonstrate program commitment and client growth. 
  • Visit the gym - In conjunction with your client, we can invite and arraign gym visits for you and your colleagues to observe and celebrate your clients achievements. 
  • We will maintain regular and ongoing communication with you regarding the successes and challenges your client is having during our program. 
  • Zoom and In Person Meetings - If you would like to speak further, be it via zoom or in person, Beyond Boxing's would be happy to arraign a meeting to answer questions and/or address concerns.

  • Attendance is mandatory
  • Beyond Boxing is cohort based, with instruction guided by our unique social emotional learning system. If your client misses too many of our sessions, we will dismiss your client from our program.
